If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, you may return your item within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange, on condition that the item is returned unworn, undamaged and in its original packaging. The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for return postage; Poppy Taylor-Smith accepts no responsibility for the non-arrival of returned goods, and therefore recommends that items are posted by insured special delivery with Royal Mail or Evri. Contact studio@poppytaylor-smith.com should you wish to arrange a refund or exchange.

Commissioned bespoke pieces are exempt from the above refunds and exchange policy, unless they are structurally faulty. Please note that the cost of outgoing shipping is not refundable.

RESIZING

Rings are made bespoke to size, so it is the customer’s responsibility to provide the correct ring size when placing an order. Resizing will incur charges of £25 per ring, plus any replating costs required for vermeil pieces. This fee does not include return postage costs.

REPLATING

Gold vermeil plating is durable and long-lasting, but not imperishable. All Poppy Taylor-Smith gold vermeil jewellery is ‘hard-plated’ with a layer of at least 3 microns of fairmined 18 carat gold over sterling silver (with rings receiving an extra thick 4 micron layer coating). While vermeil jewellery is hard-wearing, with a layer of gold over five times thicker than ‘gold-plated’ items, wear with friction is inevitable over time. Longevity of plating depends on the piece and how each individual wears their jewellery, and therefore cannot be estimated, but generally lasts longer on pieces exposed to minimal friction and abrasion; e.g. earrings and pendants. To keep your vermeil jewellery looking its best, avoid exposure to water, chlorine, suncream, perfume, hairspray, etc. 

Should your vermeil jewellery become considerably worn (to reveal the silver beneath) and require replating within the first year of wear, replating will be offered free-of-charge. Any replating required from then on is available for between £20 to £40 per item (item dependent), not including postage.

REPAIR

Should you find a structural fault in any Poppy Taylor-Smith jewellery, your piece will be repaired and returned to you free of charge. Please contact studio@poppytaylor-smith.com should you discover any structural defects with your jewellery upon delivery or within the first three months of wear. Poppy reserves the right to refuse a repair on a piece that has been damaged due to poor treatment.
